What a Stud!

Temple Lights Rain & All

The other day we planned to head down to Mesa, once Kelly got off work, to see the Temple lights. Jackson of course was super excited and as many of you know, when you mention something to Jackson, he does not forget it or let you forget it! It was supposed to rain all day, but it really hadn't yet, so I thought we were in the clear. This is about the time that my beautiful plan started to go down hill. Kelly ended up not getting off as early as we thought, which put him smack dab in the middle of rush hour traffic. So, we hurry and get everyone loaded and in the car right when he arrives. Not sure why, because once we got on the freeway, it was at a stand still and to top it off, it starts to pour. Typical! We were stuck in traffic for over an hour and a half, but we were determined to make it down there because we were meeting up with a friend and committed to it. So, we finally make it and decide to grab some dinner. I jokingly say, "that it will probably not rain while we are eating, but will probably start again once we are ready to leave the restaurant." I shouldn't have opened my mouth! At this point, we don't want to wander around the Temple in the pouring rain with two kids, but like I said before, Jackson won't let you forget. So, we bundled up and did exactly that. Granted it was kind of nice because we had the whole place to ourselves, but for obvious reasons. Anyway, Jackson was as happy as could be and didn't even care that we only walked around the Visitor's Center. It was just too stinkin' cold! What a night!
