'Twas the Night Before Christmas when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Well ... maybe there were just a few.

We had a full house this year. Especially with the newest addition (and when I say "newest" I really mean it). Owen came into Maggie & Jon's family just a few days before Christmas. He truly is a Christmas miracle!
(Apparently, my kids just want to check everyone else out when it comes to picture time.)

Carrying the cookies to the fireplace is very serious business. However, one of my kids does not take it as seriously as the other. I won't tell you which one!

When I took Jackson to bed that night. I laid beside him for a little bit to see if we might be able to hear Santa's sleigh bells. Sure enough ... we did !! I almost missed them though, because Jackson kept telling me to "leave so that Santa can come mom!" He finally closed his eyes and then we heard the magic sleigh bells. He immediately furrowed his brow and then opened his eyes with a big smile on his face. He shot up to look out the window, but I had to hurry and remind him that we better get to sleep so Santa can get to work. Before he would commit to that, he said "mom, it sounds like Santa landed on the grass and not on the roof. Did he miss?"

Looks like you guys had a great Christmas. We are sorry we missed you guys when we came out to Arizona. Saturday ended up being a day that we had to take care of some last minute things before leaving on Sunday, so we just couldn't find time. We will definately find time next time we come out.
