The end of the school year is always a busy time with lots of activities. The first of which was a musical performance at the church. Daddy was out of town, but luckily Oma & Poppy were able to come and see the performance with us. I thought for sure that Jackson was going to be shy and bashful, especially since we were all there to watch him, but he actually did great! He almost knew all the words and actions to each song. Since he started school mid year I wasn't sure how much he would actually be able to remember, but of course, his memory prevailed again. It was so much fun to watch and to see the excitement in their eyes!
After the program, we went back to his classroom so that Jackson could show Oma & Poppy around. The teacher read a story and then they did the "Bear Hunt" which is Jackson's favorite. It was so hilarious to watch him get really involved and animated!
On the last day of school, we were able to go back to Jackson's class were they had a big "Wild West" party! They had a great time and the room mom's went all out. When I say all out, I mean all out!
They had chips and salsa for a snack(and later had a cupcake), decorated their own personal horse, decorated a frame with their picture inside, panned for gold, played pin the tail on the donkey, tried to lasso a horse (which was very interesting), and they even had a pinata. Even I was tired by the end of it all! Jackson concentrated so hard on trying to lasso that horse. Little by little he got closer and closer to it, and by the end he just casually put the rope on it, put his hands in the air and shouted, " I did it!" Way to go bud!
The teachers then presented each student with their own certificate of completion along with a book for each of them. Jackson really loves his teachers and is so excited to be able to have the same teachers next year. What a way to end the year! Summer time is always fun, but Jackson can't wait for next year!

How fun!!! I know I say this all the time but...He is looking so big!
Way to go Jackson!
Love & Miss you
My gosh, he looks grown up!
Yeah, I'm thinking it is probably a good thing they don't put me in charge of planning super cool, fun over the top activities for the kids at school. They'd end up with a bunch of crayons and a pudding cup.
Funny that he has a bruise on his head. Same sweet bruised up boy!
